As I gathered Josie's things from her bed this morning, I tried to keep it to a minimum. She sleeps with so many books and animals in her bed, that it would be impossible to bring everything down. But I try to recreate her bed at home as much as I can so she doesn't feel out of sorts when we are away.
I took two baby dolls three books, two blankets and her special pillow. I thought twice about bringing her stuffed santa that she'd been sleeping with for the last two weeks.
No way, I thought. Bringing a Santa to Grandmas is like taking sand to the beach.
