Heart Shaped Raviolis

The highlight of my weekend was finding heart shaped raviolis at Costco. They were red and white, perfectly shaped and sold in bulk. Because beautiful hearts filled with cheese are ironically not heart healthy, I left them behind for another person to enjoy. But I have fond memories of our time together.

I don't want to hurt my husband's feelings. Having him come home after a week of being away was the highlight of my year. Its because of him that this weekend was calm, simple and uneventful, which happen to be my three favorite adjectives.

We had lazy mornings, drank coffee and played with our kids. The sun was out, and we enjoyed our backyard. My husband changed every diaper and let me sit on the couch for extended periods of time. I went to the gym two days in a row and may actually be able to button my jeans tomorrow. It was heavenly.

I love the fact that heart shaped pasta was the most exciting part of my weekend. It means that enjoying quiet time with my husband and kids is the status quo. And that is definitely heart healthy.
