Another Day

Today I waited for 15 minutes at the dry cleaners for the owner to find my clothes. Owen ran away from me and into a parking lot, tripping just a few feet shy of passing cars. I sat them on a step, collected myself and yelled at both of them for running too far away from me. They both kept nodding in agreement. Clearly they have already learned that agreeing is the key to ending my lectures.

We went on a play date where I watched Josie order someone else's mom around for a change. She somehow convinced a vegan, vegetarian health nut to go into the back of her pantry and pull out a bag of chips that she usually only allowed her children to eat on Christmas.

Then we came home and nobody napped, least of all me who needed the nap most. Josie and Owen sat in my lap for twenty minutes crying while I repeatedly called Norm even though I knew he was in a meeting so I could leave messages of our children screaming on his voicemail.
