Weekend Mom

I am in the home stretch of another weekend without Norm. He went down to Bakersfield to watch his nephew wrestle in the state championship. If Drew wasn't ranked 1st in the state then I wouldn't have even entertained the idea. If wasn't in Bakersfield, I would have enterained the idea going with him.

Weekends are my favorite time and not just because there is someone else who can carry Owen, aka the load, around. But because its family time. For a few days nothing seems as horrible, least of all me. I love that my children catch a glimpse of how pleasant I can be. To make up for their weekday mom, who is at times, less than pleasant.

Things are going relatively well with Josie and Owen. I have added an extra shot to my latte and an extra park visit to our routine. I am more enegerized and they are more tired. Perfect combination for a pleasant weekend despite Norm's absence.

I am uninspired, unmotivated and unable to think about what to write. I can sit here and write about not writing but instead I think I'd rather dream about not writing. I think I deserve at least that much. After all, today I am wife of the year and mother of the week. Better rest up because who knows who I will be tomorrow.
